At one time I suffered so bad with itchy skin it caused the break up of my relationship with my boyfriend. It was adversely affecting my outlook on life. The only cream that helped with the itching was corticosteroid creams but I could only use these sporadically under the supervision of my doctor. I really needed a cream I could apply to the areas of itching every day and throughout the day. I then accidentally ran across a natural product called proskin eczema which is actually an eczema cream. Although I don't suffer from eczema, I do suffer from dry skin and when a I apply this cream it stops the urge to itch and moisturizes the dry areas on my arms and legs. When the effect of the cream wears off I just reapply it. I have noticed that I don't itch quite as much as I used to and the dry areas are becoming less dry. Sorry for prattling on but when I read Haymars comment I jut wanted to help.

I have found the best cream for my children and me. I use Brenese Skin cream. Having three kids it can get expensive but they always have coupons out there.
For the kids, I take a tablespoon of the cream. Put in a coffee mug, add water and warm it in the microwave. Mix the cream until it dissolves. Then pour it in the bath water and let the kids play in it. The cream also makes their hair nice and shinny.
By the way I do this for myself too atleast once aweek.
